Writing a bride’s wedding speech can be especially difficult for the nervous bride. A great start for your wedding speech would be something along these lines: “A wonderful and magical evening, ladies and gentlemen! While it is not traditional for the bride to speak, I feel it only appropriate and polite to begin my married life by thanking all of you in a short yet sincere speech from the bride. Thank you. Thank you for finding the time to grace this occasion with your presence. It means so much to me and my groom to see so many of the people who are dearest to our hearts gathered here to help us celebrate our wedding day.”
Once you are done welcoming the guests and extending your words of gratitude to them, what you can do next is to share your insights and feelings with them. You may say something that goes like this: “They say that a wedding is that magical moment when two souls are joined together in a sacrament. Today, I feel blessed knowing that I join my soul with this wonderful guy – my husband. And so in front of all of you, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to express just how happy and grateful I am for having this person in my life – my partner, my lover, my other half.”
“And so, my dear husband, even though we went through very rough times which tested the depth of our love for each other, what matters is that we are now at this point of our lives – this road that leads us to a life together. Now, as we enter another chapter and embark on a new journey, my hope is that we will display the same amount of strength that we did in the past. I love you, and I always will.”
“With that being said, I now propose a toast to me and my charming groom. May I please ask each and every one of you to raise your glasses as I say – To me and my groom! To our marriage! To our love!”
